Connecticut Security Officer "Blue Card" Training

To receive a Security Officers Firearms Permit you must have or obtain a State of Connecticut Pistol Permit. Additionally, you must provide your own or a company handgun and one hundred rounds of ammunition in order to take this course.  If you do not have a Connecticut Pistol Permit, we can provide you with the training and certification to obtain one.  In this course you will learn:

  • Use of Force
  • Firearms Safety
  • Defensive Posture
  • Weapons Familiarization
  • Marksmanship Fundamentals

The training will also address the subjects of handgun retention, bullet effectiveness, practicing marksmanship skills effectively on your own, and much more.

You will receive personalized instruction throughout the entire training program. You will learn how to shoot accurately with your authorized handgun.  Our instructors coach you and monitor each shot you fire to make certain that you are learning as you shoot.

Upon completion of the course you will receive a certificate of course completion.

NOTE: While on duty as a security officer you will only be authorized to carry the handgun you were trained with.
